Note that the Windows XP 64-bit license is included in the above
quotes and this should be bought even for machines which will run Linux.
Dell will not sell a box without an operating system and getting RedHat
Enterprise 4/5 is no cheaper. We will install CentOS5 anyway and having
an official Windows license with the box gives you more options in the
future for the box.

Also, you must choose Windows XP 64-bit in order to be able to get more
than 4GB of memory which is pretty key for analysis today.

Getting Your Own Quote
- Go to the
Dell Website for Healthcare and configure a workstation/laptop with the exact
options you want.
- Include an optical mouse, resource CD, 3 year minimum of ProSupport.
- Remove any trial software options, especially Anti-Virus. Check with the before ordering any software through Dell.
- Add your configuration to the shopping cart and then "Save as E-quote."
- Send the E-quote number to the and we will forward it to the Partners sales rep. from Dell. If the system is being
purchased with a Partners Healthcare PO you can expect a discount of 15% - 20% off of the price listed on the web site.
