Instrumentation & Hardware Engineering

Center research in this domain drives the design and development of next-generation imaging systems and enabling technologies. Engineers and physicists create advanced MRI and PET components, RF coils, gradient systems, wearable and portable devices, and integrated hardware platforms that expand sensitivity, speed, resolution, and patient accessibility. By pushing the physical and engineering limits of biomedical imaging, this work enables new experimental capabilities, supports innovative research applications, and lays the foundation for technologies that can be translated into clinical and real-world settings.
