Brain & Body Inflammation

Inflammation research in the Center focuses on understanding how immune activity shapes health and disease across the central nervous system and the broader body. Investigators develop advanced MRI, PET, and molecular imaging techniques to detect and quantify inflammatory processes linked to conditions such as neurodegenerative disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, cardiovascular disease, and systemic autoimmune disorders. By revealing how inflammation evolves over time and responds to therapy, this work supports earlier diagnosis, improved monitoring, and the development of targeted treatments that address the immune mechanisms underlying a wide range of disorders.
