Magnetic Resonance Imaging

MRI method and technology development at the Center advances both the technical foundations and practical capabilities of MRI. Researchers create novel pulse sequences, quantitative imaging methods, motion-robust acquisition strategies, and AI-enhanced reconstruction techniques, while also engineering specialized RF coils, gradient technologies, and high-field and portable MRI systems that improve sensitivity, speed, and accessibility. Together, these innovations expand what MRI can measure — from tissue microstructure and physiology to metabolism and functional dynamics — enabling new scientific discoveries and accelerating the translation of advanced MRI techniques into clinical and real-world settings.
